In our series ‘The People Behind the Brand’, we’re speaking today to Sabrina Neukirch, the Back Office Team Leader in Mannheim.
Can you briefly introduce yourself?
My name is Sabrina Neukirch, and I work as a Back Office Team Lead at ic audio. I usually work from the Mannheim head office, and once a week from home. As I got married last year, many people still know me by my former surname, Heid.
Especially for my younger colleagues, I’ve become a bit of the ‘department mum’: I’m always there to offer them advice and support, and I’m always ready to listen.
How did you find ic audio?
In the traditional way: through a job advert. Until then, I’d never even heard of ic audio. As it turned out, I actually know a relative of my former line manager from my previous company – it really is a small world.
In October 2020, I joined the Customer Service team. It didn’t take long for me to settle into the company, and I took over as team leader two years ago.
What does a typical workday look like?
I am responsible for ensuring that orders are processed smoothly, both nationally and internationally.
My key responsibilities include processing incoming orders and any complaints, as well as liaising with our customers. In doing so, I ensure that suitable solutions are found quickly and professionally.
In collaboration with the dispatch department, I coordinate outgoing deliveries. I liaise with partner companies and hauliers regarding the transport of goods and prepare the necessary shipping documents.
I am also responsible for ensuring that the company’s foreign trade processes run smoothly.
As team leader, I allocate incoming enquiries and tasks amongst the team and also act as the point of contact for any concerns my colleagues may have. We work closely together and support one another – because teamwork is a top priority for us.
And after work?
In my spare time, I enjoy going out for a meal with my husband. On our travels, we love discovering culinary specialities from all over the world. I keep the extra weight at bay by keeping fit.
What’s more, my four budgies bring me a lot of joy and put a smile on my face every day.
